Let's talk about the Moparized Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Concept. First, look at the color, a beautiful, brilliant metallic blue that contrasts perfectly with the powdered black coat applied to the tubular steel doors and side mirrors. Also, did we mention this Wrangler has no doors? That’s an open concept, right there.
The new one-piece steel front bumper has integrated fog lights as well as tow hooks and a D-ring attachment at the bottom. You can get this bumper on the regular Wrangler too--in fact, anything you see here can be purchased from Mopar to be applied to your custom Jeep.
Since the Moparized Concept is built on the Rubicon, it comes with Tru-Lok front and rear axles, a Rock-Trac two-speed transfer case, and upgraded off-road suspension. The Concept gets a 2-inch lift kit and substantial off-road tires to give it just that little bit extra in the off-road department. A cold air intake attached to a snorkel doesn't hurt, either.
What sells this concept is the new hood, which has additional venting and a graphic that's actually just the Wrangler's grille applied five times. LED lights flank either side of the hood, and a soft fabric roof keeps the sun off while still letting in the wind.
Mopar hasn't told us what's under the hood. It could be the usual 3.6-L Pentastar V6, the new 2.0-L turbo 4-cylinder, or the even newer 3.0-L EcoDiesel V6 with 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. Either way, it looks incredible.
