Since Fiat Chrysler Automobiles successfully put a stop to India's Mahindra's plans to import it's budget off-road SUVs, perhaps the company just stopped trying to make cars resembling Jeeps. Why? Because the Mahindra Thar looks so much like a Wrangler. Mahindra revealed the Thar over the weekend and said the new SUV is even more capable than the model it replaces. Much as the SUV looks like a Wrangler on the outside, it doesn't have the same appeal inside; it's clear this is a very budget...
Auction house Mecum is preparing to sell a resto-modded 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer that puts a wood-paneled spin on Hellcatology. This hot-rodded 4x4 with supercar-like power is scheduled to cross the block on August 29. Details about the build are few and far between. We don't know how the Hellcat engine ended up under the Grand Wagoneer's hood ornament, or when. This Jeep is freshly repainted with a...

Both models stepped in at the first-class end of the MSRP food chain thanks to a passel of luxury options and exclusive dark trim. But Jeep has used its less frilly Altitude trim to package popular, urban-focused Mopar accessories and dark trim on the Wrangler since 2012, the option now available on the Sport S and Sahara models. At last, the Gladiator gets its turn in the...
Fiat Chrysler has won a cease-and-desist victory against Indian conglomerate Mahindra to stop imports of the Roxor off-road vehicle. Bloomberg reports that the United States International Trade Commission upheld a judge’s earlier findings, with some modifications, that the Roxor was a look-alike copy of the Jeep CJ-7 and Wrangler. The case is now closed. In a statement, Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA) said it remains committed to the Roxor: The International Trade Commission has...
